You Are Loved

About Love ...

 romantic love is 

something like a kaleidoscope,

beautiful, but always changing,

filtered through our minds'

triumphs and tragedies,

and often misunderstood...

but eternal love is unfiltered,

It is the pure joy, peace, and light

that sits at the core of 

our beautiful essence

a love that is unconditional,

always there

even when we don't know it,

and even when we think we don't deserve it,

a spark within that knows our truth,

we are the light ...

each of us connected

by our likeness,

all of us beautiful,

all of us loved

 just the way we are,

even when we continue to search

outside of ourselves

for something that can only be found

 within ...

from my heart to yours,

Joyful Creation

 

Winter's been bringing me down,

so today,

I invited Joy in,

I thought of the people I love,

their smiles and tender hugs,

I thought of the times

I've sat on the water

paddle in hand

marveling at the miracles

unfolding all around me,

I thought of sunny days, pickleball

and laughing with my friends,

and soon, joy came flooding in,

she fell like snowflakes

 magically falling from the sky 

  sang beautiful melodies,

and somehow managed

to pen my soul's reflections

  on the page,

I invited Joy in today,

and she came,

but she didn't come alone,

 she brought her friends 

peace and love with her ...

with joy and gratitude,
